Meet the teacher and the psychiatrist

Jo-Ann Berry teaches 11th and 12th grade English at a therapeutic day school in Massachusetts. Her students have social and emotional challenges that have not been served in other schools and that have been barriers to meeting their academic and life goals. They learn to navigate further education, employment, and life skills. Jo-Ann has taught in this setting since 2013 and is certified in Moderate Special Needs grades 5 -12 and has a CAGS in Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Dr. Candida Fink is a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who treats children, teens, and young adults with a range of concerns including ADHD, anxiety disorders, OCD, autism, and pediatric mood disorders. She has consulted to schools for many years. She speaks and writes about topics including mental health, psychiatry in schools, and parenting. Candida has lived and worked in the Westchester, New York area since 1998.
